21st Century Girls: Why they lose their power and how to get it back.
Schoolgirls growing up in the 21st Century face a myriad of obstacles that negatively impact their self-esteem, well-being and this ultimately limits career choices.
Our signature workshops unpack how issues like social media addiction, comparison, consumerism and perfectionism steal their power – and give them the skills they need to get it back.
Using diverse role models, we teach girls how to defy stereotypes and see who they can be, from a Supreme Court judge to an opera singer, an electrician to a female entrepreneur.
These are life-changing programs which help girls develop the self-leadership, resilience and the confidence they need to turn limitations into possibilities.
Our workshops demonstrate why there’s never been a better time to be a girl than now. Students leave our events feeling inspired, empowered and excited about their future.
Feedback
I understand now that being an effective role model doesn’t mean you have to work any harder. This was extremely important for us as student leaders, because it meant that instead of putting in extra effort, we could change our behaviour. I also enjoyed how we were able to ask questions of the guest speaker and link the key ideas to inspirational female figures.
My session with EmpowerGirl was so inspirational. I liked hearing Georgie’s story about her daughter. It truly allowed me to believe that I am more than capable of being a leader, reaching my goals and setting a good example to young students in the school.
I really enjoyed the guest speaker’s inspirational and reassuring messages throughout her talk, as well as how she used anecdotes to show examples of female empowerment.
